Guidance Part 1

The Guidance and Career Education, Part I course introduces the foundations of guidance and career education through the lens of Creating Pathways to Success and Individual Pathways Planning (IPP). Key areas of focus include education and career/life planning; supporting student mental wellness; understanding the role of the guidance teacher-counsellor; and facilitating successful transitions across pathways. Grounded in the Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession, the course emphasizes inclusive, culturally responsive, and student-centred practices that affirm identities and promote success for all learners.
