Guidance Part 1
The Guidance and Career Education, Part I course introduces the foundations of guidance and career education through the lens of Creating Pathways to Success and Individual Pathways Planning (IPP). Candidates will explore strategies to help students discover “Who am I? Where am I going? How do I get there?,” while fostering equity, well-being, and resilience. Key areas of focus include education and career/life planning; supporting student mental wellness; understanding the role of the guidance teacher-counsellor; and facilitating successful transitions across pathways.
