Teacher Leadership, Part I Focus on Mentor - Coaching explores how educators can lead and influence positive change within their schools and communities through relational, collaborative, and coaching-centred approaches. Teachers lead every day through their relationships, expertise, and ability to support the professional growth of others. Grounded in the Ontario Leadership Framework and Peel Equity Leadership Framework, this course takes an equity-centred approach to developing leadership identity, voice, and practice.

Participants will explore practical strategies for coaching and mentoring colleagues, facilitating professional learning, leading collaborative inquiry, navigating resistance, and supporting school improvement. Through reflection, dialogue and authentic application, candidates will strengthen their capacity to lead inclusive practices, build collective efficacy, and positively influence their classrooms, schools, and communities.
