Equity and Inclusive Education Part 2 deepens the exploration of creating an identity-affirming, equitable, and engaging learning environment for all students, focusing on those historically marginalized by systemic oppression. Candidates will analyze the impact of legislation, ministry and board policies, and community partnerships on pedagogical frameworks. Building on Universal Design for Learning and Culturally Responsive Pedagogy, the course integrates eight guiding principles: confronting oppression and racism, dismantling systemic biases, acknowledging non-neutral education, fostering collective responsibility, centering community voices, upholding human rights, ensuring accountability, and acting with urgency. This course enhances professional efficacy by developing critical consciousness and refining practices to better serve students, families, and communities, striving for a just educational experience for all.
