The French as a Second Language Part 2 course enhances educational practices by integrating anti-oppressive pedagogies across school divisions. Embracing equity, diversity, and inclusion principles, educators validate intersectional identities and foster lifelong language learning through global communication skills. The curriculum integrates the cultural richness of the French-speaking world and Ontario's FSL program. Teachers apply culturally responsive methods, differentiated instruction, universal design for learning, and plurilingualism, while addressing Truth and Reconciliation Commission calls to action. Participants critically examine policies and primary-source texts to develop anti-oppressive teaching practices, aiming to create inclusive learning environments that prioritize student well-being and agency.
